Author, Kady Winter

Kady Winter is a long-time screenwriter and playwright (as Lynne Moses) whose journey into fiction began with an adaptation of one of her screenplay "passion projects." That manuscript became the first in a young adult historical fantasy series, "The Poteet Chronicles," and won the YA category of the Virginia Romance Writers' "Fool for Love" contest plus finaled in the YA category of the Orange County RWA chapter's "Orange Rose" contest. Entangled's "Smackdown" on the Savvy Authors web site inspired Kady to launch a New Adult series in the 2013 NaNoWriMo 30-day writing challenge. That effort produced the first novel in her "Twin Birch House Series," called "All That Shimmers." Kady is a member of SCBWI and RWA, and is a Board Member of LARA, the Los Angeles Chapter of RWA.

Pamela DuMond is the writer who discovered Erin Brockovich's real life story and thought it would make a great movie. With Erin's permission she pitched the story to a producer at Jersey Films and it was picked up by Universal Studios. ERIN BROCKOVICH movie was nominated for four Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Screenplay, and Best Actress. Julia Roberts won Best Actress for portraying Erin. The movie became a box office hit.

Pamela contributed several articles to the book SOUL MOMENTS: Marvelous stories of Synchronicity — Meaningful Coincidences from a Seemingly Random World, edited by Phil Cousineau, published in 1997 by Conari Press. She's edited more than her share of self-help books and studied screenwriting at UCLA extension, before jumping into the novelist pool.

Inspired by fictitious characters such as BRIDGET JONES, MS. CONGENIALITY and Nancy Drew, the author created an amateur female sleuth, Annie Graceland, who's the heroine of the sexy, comedic Cupcakes mystery series. Annie's a thirty-something baker blessed/cursed with a pinch of psychic ability who discovers she can see and talk to ghosts. And much to her dismay, they can also talk to her—nagging her incessantly to solve their murders. CUPCAKES, LIES, AND DEAD GUYS (An Annie Graceland Mystery) was published by Krill Press in 2010. Pamela indie published CUPCAKES, SALES, AND COCKTAILS – A Novella in 2011 and released CUPCAKES, PIES, AND HOT GUYS in 2012.

CUPCAKES, PIES, AND HOT GUYS was a Quarterfinalist in the Amazon Breakout Novel Award 2013. THE MESSENGER also made the first cut in the ABNA 2012 Contest. She's currently writing Book #2 in the MESSENGER, MORTAL BELOVED Series, a YA contemporary fantasy, as well as CUPCAKES, BARS, AND ROCK STARS.

Pamela DuMond's also been a chiropractor for many years and compiled years of self-help techniques in THE GIRLFRIEND'S GUIDEBOOK to STAYING YOUNG. The book will be published spring, 2013. She trained with Robert Gajda, exercise and myo-fascial therapy specialist, a former Mr. Olympia, who earned his title without steroids or doping. She helped Robert train the Harvard Women's Tennis Team. She's worked with members of the Chicago Bears and other internationally recognized athletes including tennis, hockey and basketball players. She's treated actors, movie producers, studio heads and even treated patients on TV sets during breaks between filming, as well as major theatrical musical productions. She worked on rock stars behind the scenes during concerts held in major venues.

One of her greatest joys has been working with babies entering this life and helping transition souls who were about to leave this life. Besides writing she likes reading, yoga, the beach, her friends, family, friends, animals, exercising, and movies. She lives in Venice, California with her fur-babies.
